Registering a deal with a partner

Registering a deal tells a partner program that you are working on an opportunity with a customer. This can protect the deal from competing claims and make it eligible for co-sell support, incentives and funding.
Which partners you can register with
| Partner | Registration types | How it is submitted |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft | Won Microsoft referrals | Celeritic submits it to Microsoft for you, if your organisation connected Microsoft before connecting was paused |
| Databricks | Use Case Registration | Celeritic fills Databricks' own form; you submit it there |
| Google Cloud | Co-sell Registration, Services Registration | Celeritic fills Google Cloud's own form; you submit it there |
| Snowflake | Co-sell Registration (Acquisition), Service Registration (Expansion), AE Connection Request | Celeritic fills Snowflake's own form; you submit it there |
| AWS | Opportunity Import | Readiness check only, see below |
| SAP SuccessFactors | Opportunity Registration | Readiness check only, see below |
For AWS and SAP SuccessFactors, Celeritic shows which details the partner needs and how ready the deal is, so you can prepare it. You cannot register with them from Celeritic yet, so submit those registrations in the partner's own portal.
Filling Databricks', Google Cloud's and Snowflake's forms needs the Celeritic browser extension on a computer. See The Celeritic browser extension.
Before you register: get the deal ready
1. Open the deal in Co-sell and make sure the partner is listed under Partners. Add it with + Add if not.
2. For partners that need it, enter the revenue that partner influenced on its row under Partners.
3. Fill in Customer & Contact Details. These are shared by every registration for the deal.
4. Under Partner Registration, check each partner's card. It shows how ready the registration is, what is missing, and any answers that may lead the partner to decline it. Choose Edit to fill in the partner's own fields.
Where a field needs written text, Draft with CeleriticAI asks the Assistant to draft it for you to review. It is not shown when an owner or admin has turned AI off for the organisation.
For Microsoft, a deal can be registered once it came from Microsoft and is at Closed Won.
Registering
Open Registrations in the sidebar. The Deal Registrations page has:
• Tiles for registered deals, deals eligible to register, registered deal value and approved registrations.
• Register a deal: each deal that is ready to register, listed once for each partner, with how many are left to register.
• Ineligible Deals: deals that are not ready to register with a partner yet, with the reason (for example a Microsoft deal that is not at Closed Won), and a readiness preview.
• Registered Deals: everything you have registered so far.
You can also get here from a deal: choose Register deal at the bottom of the deal, or Register next to a partner under Partners. When a stage change makes a deal eligible, Celeritic asks Register this deal?; choose Register Now.
Microsoft
Microsoft registrations are for Microsoft referrals you have won. Find the deal under Register a deal and choose Register. Celeritic marks the referral as won in Microsoft Partner Center and adds the deal to Registered Deals as Submitted. This works only if your organisation connected Microsoft before new Microsoft connections were paused. Connecting Microsoft is not available yet.
Databricks, Google Cloud and Snowflake
1. Find the deal under Register a deal. If the partner has more than one registration type, choose one from the list first.
2. Choose Register. A dialog opens with every value Celeritic will use, grouped the way the partner's form groups them. Fix anything flagged, then choose Save.
3. If the dialog warns This registration may be declined, read why, and tick I understand this registration may be declined, and want to submit anyway if you still want to go ahead.
4. Where the partner asks for it, tick the box confirming that the customer contact has accepted their details being shared with the partner for this registration. Only tick it if that is true.
5. Choose Open followed by the partner's name and and fill form. The partner's site opens in a new tab and Celeritic fills the form there. If you are not signed in to the partner's site, sign in on that tab and the fill continues.
6. Check every value on the partner's own review step, add any attachments yourself, and submit it there. Celeritic never submits these forms for you.
7. When Celeritic asks Did you submit this registration? on the partner's page, choose Yes, submitted. That is what records the registration in Celeritic.
These partners do not allow edits after submission, so check carefully before you submit.
On a phone, choose Save to submit later instead: your answers are kept and you can submit from a computer.
After you register
Each registration in Registered Deals shows its Status (Pending, Submitted, Approved, Rejected or Error), when it was Submitted, and the partner's Registration ID when there is one.
Databricks, Google Cloud and Snowflake tell you their decision directly, not through Celeritic. When you hear back, update the status yourself in the Status column: Submitted, Approved or Rejected.
A rejection is often not final: it usually means the partner needs more information or the deal does not meet a requirement yet. Check the reason the partner gave, fix the deal, and talk to your partner contact.
Good to know
• To register a deal, you need access to Co-sell for that partner. An owner or admin decides which partners and features you can see, so ask one of them for access.
• Some partners' forms ask for the same company details on every registration, such as your partner company name or your Databricks alliance contact. Owners and admins set these once in Settings, under Registration defaults, and Celeritic fills them in.
• See Working a deal: partners, meetings, people, plan for everything else on a deal.
