Members, roles and owners

On this page
Everyone from your company works in one shared Celeritic organisation. Member management in Settings shows who is in it, what role each person has, and who is waiting to join.
Everyone can see the member list. Owners and admins approve, invite, change roles and remove people.

Where to find it

Go to Settings, then under Organisation choose Member management.
Member management in Settings, showing pending approvals, an access request and the start of the members list.

Roles

RoleWhat they can do
OwnerEverything an admin can, plus make other people owners, change an owner back to an admin, and remove owners. An organisation can have more than one owner.
AdminSee every partner and feature, manage partner keys and CRM connections, approve and invite people, change members' and admins' roles, decide what each member can access, and change organisation settings.
MemberUse Celeritic day to day. An owner or admin decides which partners and features each member can see.
The Organisation members table, with each person's role, access and the Make admin, Remove admin and Remove buttons.
The first person from your company to join becomes its owner, once CelerityHat has approved the new organisation.

Approving people who ask to join

When someone signs up with your company's email domain, they wait for approval instead of getting in automatically. Owners and admins see them under Pending approvals at the top of Member management, and get a notification; owners also get an email.
1. Choose Approve next to the person.
2. Choose what they can access. Everything is ticked by default; untick what they should not see.
3. Choose Approve to confirm. Or choose Reject to turn the request down.

Inviting someone

1. Choose Invite member.
2. Enter their Email address and choose what they can access.
3. Choose Send invitation.
The Invite member dialog, with an email address box and the partners and features the new member will get.
The end of the members list and the Pending invites card, showing who was invited, with what access and when the invite expires.
They get an email with a link to sign up, and join as a member the first time they sign in with that address. Sent invites are listed under Pending invites, where you can Resend an invite (this also gives them more time to accept) or cancel it. To make someone an admin, invite them as a member, then change their role once they have joined.

Changing someone's role

Use the buttons in the member's row:
•  Make admin turns a member into an admin.
•  Remove admin turns an admin back into a member. You choose what they can access as a member before the change is saved.
•  Make owner (owners only) makes an admin an owner. You stay an owner too.
•  An owner's row has Make admin to change them back to an admin. Only an owner can do this.
An organisation always needs at least one owner. The last owner's row says "The only owner. Make someone else an owner before changing or removing this one." If every owner has left your company, contact CelerityHat.

Removing someone

Choose Remove in the person's row, then confirm. They lose access to your organisation immediately. Their Celeritic account is not deleted. If they sign in again, they have to be approved again before they get back in, or you can invite them back.
•  An admin has to be changed to a member before they can be removed.
•  Only an owner can remove another owner.
•  You cannot remove yourself.

Your own profile

Under You, choose Profile to change your display name, role in your company and photo, see what you have access to, and sign out. Replay tour runs the product tour again. Switch between light and dark mode with the theme button in the top bar.
Your Profile page in Settings, with your photo, display name, email, role in company and organisation.

Good to know

•  Members see a simpler page: the member list and roles, without the access column, invites or action buttons.
•  The activity feed records role changes and removals; only owners and admins see those entries.
